Update: March 2023

Greetings all,

February Open Bindery had a small class with the introductory booking, techniques and making a case bound notebook. Visitors to the open bindery at the same time but able to assist in some ideas for how to approach some projects.

February Members Meeting was a great start for the year, marbling, barbecue and a combined visit of Papermakers of Victoria. Lively discussion, some take home products, and an enjoyable buz of activity:

Coming Up

March

14 March: no bookings.

25-26 March - Clunes Booktown: We have a stand in the Bluestone Church, with demonstrations displays of bindings, tools, and we hope to make contact with those who might be interested. Drop in if you are in the area. If you wish to assist on the stand please give me a call, many hands make light work, and at the moment we are short a few hands.
I will have a bookstall next door with a mighty downsize of my personal library, so say hello there as well. An eclectic mix of history, Australiana, cultures, novels and bookbinding.

28 March - Open bindery: 2-5pm Please email president{at}vbg.net.au to book so we are sure of what might be required to set up.

28 March - Members meeting, 7pm: Report on Clunes, planning for the year, book clinic, equipment for sale, and members projects to show. Doesn't matter if your works are in progress, we enjoy the process as much as the completed projects. Call me if you have a specific topic to share, so we can assist if needed.
